WE STARTED TO LISTEN TO A TALENTED TEAM BURIED IN WORK
AND BUILT THREE AI BRAND AGENTS TO SUPPORT AND IMPROVE THEIR WORKFLOW

AI gets a bad reputation it doesn't always deserve.
Here is what happens when you build AI putting humans first.
Most of it comes from seeing what happens when businesses rush the build, feeding a generic tool a vague brief and hoping for magic.
The output sounds like nobody. The team doesn't trust it. The brand gets blurry. And everyone quietly goes back to doing it the hard way. But that's not an AI problem. That's a foundation problem.
This is the story of what happens when you get the foundation right first, and what becomes possible when you do.
I received a call.
An old colleague, now the owner of a very successful and fast-growing business, called me one afternoon.
"Things are great," he said. "We're growing like crazy. But I'd love your help. I know you can see things I can't. I have a great team, but I feel something is missing." He wasn't wrong. Something was missing. But it wasn't talent.
I'd seen this before. A business grows faster than its infrastructure can keep up with. The team is brilliant, creative, committed, capable, but stretched so thin that the thinking gets squeezed out. They're executing. They're delivering. But they've lost the space to step back, look up, and create.
That's not a people problem. That's a systems problem. And it has a solution. Human first AI second brand strategy
What I found.
A twelve-person in-house marketing team operating across two heavily regulated industries, healthcare and cannabis. Still producing amazing, original work. But they were running on empty.
No room to think.
Little space to create.
Reactive instead of strategic.
Buried in execution when they should have been leading with ideas.
I didn't walk in with a bot. Not even close.
I walked in with thirty years of knowing how brands actually work, inside global agencies, across regulated industries, through growth phases exactly like this one.
It was key for me to understand the team and the dynamics before I touched a single tool. Because that's always where it starts.
I assessed the team first.
Listened to how they worked
Realized what they needed
Saw where the friction was.
The partnership.
I called Heidi Araya. Heidi is an AI solution specialist with deep technical expertise in building custom AI agents. What she brings to a build is rare, the ability to take a complex human brief and translate it into something a machine can actually learn from and work with.
What I brought was different. I bring thirty years of agency thinking. Pattern recognition built across hundreds of brands. And a very clear sense of what this specific team, in these specific industries, actually needed.
We put our heads together.
Not "what's the fastest thing we can build? "But "what would actually make a difference for these people?"
Three questions drove everything:
How could we reduce the workload without reducing the quality?
How could we make the team work smarter, not harder?
Was there a way to give them back the one thing they'd lost, time to think?
The foundation comes first. Always.
Before we built a single agent, we built the brain. We built the foundation first. Everything else came after.
We spent time with the team assembling everything the brand is, says, and stands for.
Brand strategy.
Product lines.
Voice and tone.
Target audiences.
Positioning.
All of it documented. Structured. Organized in a way that an AI agent could be trained on it accurately and deeply. What we didn't have needed to be built.
This is the step most people skip. They go straight to the tool. They paste in a paragraph about their brand and expect the output to sound like them. It never does, because the foundation was never built.
What we built
Four agents. Each with a specific job. Each trained on the same deep foundation.
Two Brand Agents
Think of this as a creative director available to the entire team, any time, any day, without a briefing meeting. Trained on everything the brand is: its voice, its values, its product lines in detail, its audiences, its positioning. The team can ask it anything. Adjust copy to match the brand voice and purpose. Pull accurate product information. Brief a campaign. Brainstorm a concept direction. Email writing for sales or customers, a promo or a campaign. You name it.
In the team's own words: "The bot is trained perfectly on the brand strategy. I ask it questions like 'can you adjust this copy to answer this question using the brand voice and purpose?', and it does."
The Compliance Agent
In healthcare and cannabis, one wrong word costs real money. A claim that hasn't been approved. A phrase that crosses a regulatory line. Content that looks fine to a creative eye but flags immediately to a compliance review.
The compliance agent was built to catch those issues before they happen.
It reviews newly created copy against the guidelines it was trained on. It flags what would be accepted and what wouldn't, and explains why. Then it goes further: it offers new creative recommendations that stay within the guardrails.
A safety net with a creative brain.
For a team operating in two regulated industries simultaneously, this agent alone changed the way they work. Less back and forth. Fewer delays. More confidence in what goes out the door.
The Competitive Agent
The third agent keeps the team informed, aware, and ahead, tracking the competitive landscape so the team doesn't have to spend hours doing it manually.
More informed decisions. Less time spent on research that could be systematized.
The Onboarding
Building the agents was only half the work.
The other half was making sure every person on the team knew how to use them, and how to get the best out of them. The prompting is our secret sauce, and we like to keep it that way
We onboarded the full twelve-person team on how to work with each agent, how to prompt effectively, and how to think about AI as a thinking partner rather than a shortcut.
This is the piece most implementations skip. And it's why most fail.
A tool is only as good as the person using it. We made sure the people were ready before we handed anything over.
The result
The team got their thinking space back, and then some.
More time for concepts.
New product lines.
Campaign strategy.
The kind of work that moves a brand forward instead of just keeping it running.
"The bot is trained perfectly on the brand strategy. It is saving us time, is more accurate, and we got valuable thinking space back."
AI didn't take the creative process away.It created space for it again.
Because we built it with the team in mind. Humans first. Every time.
Why this only works one way
The agents work because of what went into them, not because of the technology itself.
The technology is available to anyone. What isn't available to everyone is thirty years of knowing what a brand needs, the pattern recognition to see what a team is missing, and the discipline to build the foundation before touching a single tool.
That's the part that can't be automated. That's the part that makes the difference.
And it's the part I bring to every engagement, whether we're building AI agents, refreshing a brand, or helping a business show up the way it deserves to.
This is what it looks like when your whole business gets understood, not just one project.
Want to know more about the process?
Every engagement starts the same way, with a conversation.
No tools. No builds. Just listening, understanding, and figuring out together what would actually make a difference.
Reach out here or connect with me on LinkedIn. I read every message personally. I build and embed custom AI brand systems for in-house teams and growing businesses, so your people get their best hours back for the thinking only humans do. Ongoing partnership, starting at $3,500 USD/month.
